Tullio Albert Tutrinoli, 99, of the Breeding community of Adair County, KY, formerly of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and New York City, New York, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at his home. He was born in Bronx County, NY on December 29, 1924 to the late Arturo and Ida (Riccio) Tutrinoli.
Mr. Tutrinoli had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a devout member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Columbia. He had attained a degree from Pace Business College in New York and earned his living as an accountant.
On June 22, 1943 he was inducted in to the United States Army Air Force. CPL Tutrinoli shared his musical talents with his fellow service members as a Bandsman until his release from active service in 1946. After his return to New York, he enrolled in, and graduated from, The Juilliard School. It was there he honed his skills on the French Horn, an instrument he would teach and play most of his life. His abilities allowed him to play countless notable events and venues, including with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the famed Roxy Theater, and The Metropolitan Opera House. He was also a former First Chair Horn Player in the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.
Although his list of life’s achievements is long and well-deserved, he will be more fondly remembered for his sincere, humble, and patient spirit.
