Donnie Wayne Buckner, 65, of Greensburg, KY, son of the late Robert Buckner and Mollie Curry Buckner, was born on Monday, June 22, 1959 in Green County and departed this life on Monday, December 9, 2024 at his home.
Donnie had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of New Journey Church. He was a retired manager at the NSU Corporation for 24 years.

2 sons: Randy Otis Buckner of Green County and Bobby Whitlow of Metcalfe County
2 daughters: Melissa Rhinehart of Metcalfe County and Sarah (& Jason) Zabel of Green County
1 sister & brother-in-law: Janey & Bobby Compton of Green County
2 brothers & sisters-in-law: Bobby Joe & Joyce Buckner of Green County and James & Jeanne Buckner of Louisville
11 grandchildren: Hunner Whitlow and Katie of Lexington, Lukas Hubbard, Aliya Hubbard, Austin Hubbard all of Metcalfe County, Kora Whitlow, Alijah Zabel, Gabrael Zabel, Dominick Zabel, Karter Zabel, Landon Purvis, Oliver Hall, and Anderson Hall all of Green County

A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters: Roberta Davenport and Dixie Hagan; and by two brothers: Billy Buckner, Elroy Buckner.

Funeral Service: Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 1:00pmCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Edwards officiating
Burial: Clack Cemetery
Visitation: Wednesday from 3:00pm-8:00pmCT and Thursday after 7:00amCT until time of service
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Family Burial Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
