James W. Taylor, 76, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Walter and Ruth (Kidwell) Taylor, was born October 18, 1948 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Taylor Regional Hospital.
He retired from GTE after 32 years of service, having worked as an installer and maintenance man. James had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist Faith. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, cooking and spending time with his wife and family.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers: Joe Henry Taylor, Florence Mitchell, Helen Walker, Peggy Bishop, and Michael Taylor.

4 children: Jimmy Taylor & wife Mary, Mark Dudgeon & wife Chris, Deanna Hunt & husband Robbie, and Traci Stayton
12 grandchildren: Lindsay, Brittany, Craig, Jacob Andrew, Samantha, Caitlin, Emily, Jeffrey, Matthew, Presley, Josh and Jacob

Funeral Service: Friday, December 13, 2024 at 2:00pmET at L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Fella Wilson and Mark Dudgeon will be officiating
Interment: Brookside Cemetery
Visitation: Beginning at 12:00pmET on Friday at the funeral home
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and can be made in person at the funeral home.
