Charles Edward Pelston, 67, of Columbia, KY passed from this life on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at his home. He was born in Campbellsville on May 6, 1957, a son of the late Cora Lee Pelston and Winfrey Herron, Jr.

Mr. Pelston was a veteran of the United States Army. He was laborer, having spent his working years as a mechanic and a farmer. Mr. Pelston will be long remembered for his humorous outlook, and will be missed by many fishing and bingo buddies.

6 siblings: Bonnie Tuttle, Nita Tuttle, Sherry Barnett, Teresa Barnett, Holly Herron, and Amanda Crow

2 stepchildren: Raymond Ward and Jeffrey Allen Curtsinger

His mother-in-law & father-in-law: Joann & Joseph Culver

Sister-in-law: Jennifer Widner & husband Michael

A host of extended family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by two siblings: Junior Herron and Marilee Herron.

Funeral Service: Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:00amEST (10:00amCST) in the chapel of L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Steve Orr officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation: Friday, November 8, 2024 from 5:00pm-8:00pmEST (4:00pm-7:00pmCST) at the funeral home

It was Mr. Pelston’s request to be cremated following the service.
