Bessie Louise Smith Larimore, 90, Campbellsville, KY

 

Bessie Louise Smith Larimore, 90, of Campbellsville, KY, a daughter of the late James Anderson Smith and Bessie Lorene Smith, was born on January 13, 1934 in Cumberland County and departed this life on Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Campbellsville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. 

 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. She was a housewife, a member of the Gideon Auxiliary, and formerly served as a Sunday School teacher.

 

SURVIVORS:

Her husband of 70 years: Robert Ollie Larimore

3 sons & daughters-in-law: Gary & Susan Larimore and Barry & Sherree Larimore of Greensburg; and Byron & Michelle Larimore of Columbia

5 grandchildren: Lauren Melton of Tenneesee, Bethany Brown of Elizabethtown, Kimberly Mullins of Campbellsville, Kyle Larimore of Illinois, and Brett Larimore of Columbia

6 great-grandchildren: Anne Claire, Aidan, Monroe, Annabelle, Cooper, & Caylen

2 step-grandchildren: Shawn Milby of Greensburg and Shae Simpson of Indiana

5 step-great-grandchildren: Chase, Cali, Sydney, Griffin, & Hadley

3 sisters: Margaret Larimore of Campbellsville, Bernice Ward of Greensburg, and Linda Thomas of Florida

A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends

 

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cynthia Larimore; a grandchild, Kristen Larimore; three sisters: Ovena White, Thelma Clark, Annetta Jeffries; and two brothers: Howard Smith and Earl Wayne Smith.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 12:00pmCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY

 

Burial: Beech Grove Church Cemetery

 

Visitation: Monday, October 21, 2024 from 4:00pm-8:00pmCT and Tuesday after 7:00amCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home

 

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
