Virginia Elizabeth Hardwick McCubbin, 86, of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Cecil E. Trowbridge and Ethel Curry Trowbridge, was born February 2, 1938 in Green County and passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at her home. 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She worked at Fruit of the Loom and in the cafeteria at Green County Elementary School.

She was united in marriage to Charles Leslie Hardwick on December 25, 1957, who preceded her in death on September 13, 1995. Later, she united in marriage to Roy McCubbin on July 4, 2005 who also preceded her in death on January 6, 2018.

SURVIVORS:

2 daughters & sons-in-law: Regina & Freddie Robertson and Tami Lynn & Dennis Whitlow, of Greensburg

1 son & daughter-in-law: DeWayne & Melissa Hardwick of Greensburg

3 grandchildren: Brandy Whitlow & her companion Edgar Martinez of Georgia, Amber Canales & Jose of Summershade, and Craig Robertson of Green County

4 great-grandchildren: Maya Sales, Riley Robertson, Dixie Canales, and Nico Lopez

She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Dorothy Coomer, Frances Jones, and Lillian Sloan.

Funeral Service: Monday, October 7, 2024 at 10:00amCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating

Burial: Macedonia Cemetery

Visitation: Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 4:00pm-8:00pmCT and Monday after 7:00amCT 

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
