Matthew Paxton Rattliff, 51, of Greensburg, KY passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at his home. He was born on July 10, 1973 in Taylor County, KY, a son of the late Ronnie Rattliff and Dianne Paxton.

Matt was a father, a carpenter, a storyteller, and a self proclaimed archeologist. He enjoyed exploring Russell Creek, searching for rocks and other artifacts, fishing, and telling stories with his friends and family. While Matt only lived 51 years on this Earth, he had stories for a hundred years’ worth of adventures!

Matt was a lifelong member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church where he will be laid to rest alongside his mother and grandparents.

SURVIVORS:

1 son & daughter: Levi Rattliff and Macy Rattliff

2 brothers & sisters-in-law: William Lewis & Tana Rattliff and Creighton & Emily Bloyd

In addition to his parents, Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents: Walker “Auby” Paxton and Delia Paxton, both of whom he admired and spoke of often.

Funeral Service: Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00amCT at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church

Burial: Ebenezer Cemetery

Visitation: Friday, September 13, 2024 from 5:00pm-8:00pmCT and Saturday from 7:00am-8:00amCT at Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY and after 9:00amCT on Saturday at the church
