James Douglas “Doug” Smith, 67, of Green County, KY, son of Herman Junior Smith of Green County and the late Joyce Simpson Smith, was born on October 23, 1956 in Taylor County and departed this life on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Doug had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. He worked for Fruit of Loom in the Bleach House for 22 years, Campbellsville Industries as a welder in the steel shop for 21 years, and was a farmer.

Funeral service: Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 11:00amCT at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Rafferty and Bro. Garrett Milby officiating
Burial: Bethlehem Cemetery
Visitation: Wednesday from 3:00pm-8:00pmCT and Thursday after 7:00amCT until time of the service
Memorial donations are requested to take the form of a donation to the Gideon Bible Fund or to the Bethlehem Cemetery Fund.
