Marcella Cornett, 76, of Viper, KY, the daughter of the late John Caudill and Marjorie Woods Caudill, was born in Hazard, KY on July 10, 1948 and departed this life on Friday, August 16, 2024 in Campbellsville, KY. 

She was a member of the Upper Middle Fork Church of Christ. She was a retired school cafeteria cook. She enjoyed traveling, sitting on the porch with Marley, watching the birds, and spending time with her grandchildren & great-grandson.

1 daughter & son-in-law: Terri Cornett Martion & husband Stacy of Elk Horn, KY

5 grandchildren: Stephen Tye Cobb (Daphne), Erika S. Johnson (Nehemiah), Austin Blake Cobb (Candy), Logan R. Cornett, and Madison R. Cornett

1 great-grandson: Greyson Clay Johnson

6 brothers & sisters: Doyle Caudill (Debbie), Butch Caudill (Nina), Craig Caudill (Della), Jeff Caudill (Paula), Gwen Rollins (Jim), and Carolyn Joseph (Ferlin)

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons: John Micheal Cornett & Jeffrey Doyle Cornett, and one sister, Jacqueline “Jackie” Bowman.

The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Upper Middle Fork Church of Christ in Viper, KY with Bro. Wes Halcomb officiating.
