Howard James Benningfield, 70, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of Melvin Richard Benningfield and Frances Close Benningfield, was born on January 16, 1954 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Monday, August 5, 2024 at the Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg, KY.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was retired from Victory Trucking Company in Houston, Texas where he lived for many years. He was a safety manager for several trucking companies and before that, enjoyed being a truck driver.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marcia Murphy and a nephew, Brent Murphy.

To carry out his wishes, he will be cremated with no service.
