Lois Jean Thompson, 77, of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late Calvin K. and Winnie B. (Thrasher) Eastridge, was born December 19, 1946 in Knifley, KY and departed this life on Thursday, July 18, 2024 in Lexington at the UK Medical Center.

She united in marriage to Doyle Thompson on June 26, 1965 who preceded her in death in 2004.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Eastridge.

Lois had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Feathersburg Church of God. She was a former childcare giver for over 47 years. Lois enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was an avid UK fan and a lover of gospel music including the Gaither’s, who was her favorite.

1 sister: Pam Smith & husband Norman of Campbellsville

5 grandchildren: Tara Perkins & husband Jaspar, Shanda Campbell, Carly Waldrep & husband Blair, Jacob Thompson, and Angel Edelen & companion Patrick

6 great-grandchildren: Payton Coomer, Riley Jo Coomer, Lane Perkins, Crimson Waldrep, Lacy Covey, Leah Covey and one expectant

Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 11amET in the chapel of L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with Bro. John Stilts officiating

Interment: Eastridge Cemetery

Visitation: Monday, July 22, 2024 from 5-8pmET and Tuesday after 7amET at the funeral home
