Larry A. Bloyd, 75, of Green County, KY, son of the late Amos Bloyd and Gladys Price Bloyd, was born April 11, 1949 in Green County and departed this life on Monday, July 15, 2024 in Greensburg.
Larry had made a profession of faith in Christ. He was in insurance sales, worked for Social Services, and was also self-employed doing yardwork and handyman work. He was also an avid GCHS Athletics Supporter and was a decorated track & field athlete and State Champion. After High school he ran for Lindsey Wilson College and then later for the University of Kentucky.
SURVIVORS:
2 children: Laura Hodges of Campbellsville and Cheslee Bloyd of Greensburg
6 grandchildren: Davin Phillips, Lyla Phillips, Harper Hodges, Paxton Bloyd, Ansley Bloyd, and Maura Bloyd
1 sister-in-law: Margie Bloyd
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Silas Bloyd.

Honoring his wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no formal service at this time.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of a donation to the Green County Cross Country Team, Green County Track & Field, or to Suicide Prevention.
