Alan Posey, 58, of Green County, KY, son of Judith “Judy” Ann Young Posey of Greensburg and the late Joseph Nelson Posey, was born on September 5, 1965 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Taylor Regional Hospital. 

Alan had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of Elkhorn Baptist Church and also attended Union Separate Baptist Church. He was a Product Tech for Metalsa and a member of the U.A.W.

His wife: Leona Warren Posey of Green County

His mother: Judy Posey of Greensburg

1 daughter: Amanda Posey of Columbia

2 step-sons: Matthew Stillwell of Buffalo and Jeremy Stillwell of Greensburg

2 grandchildren

2 brothers: DeWayne Posey & companion Tracie of Campbellsville and Mark Posey & wife Kim of Bowling Green

Special Aunt: Peggy Meadows of Greensburg

Special Nephew: Owen Posey of Bowling Green

Mr. Posey was also preceded in death by two grandchildren: Robert Boley, III, and Joseph Daniel Posey.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 11:00amCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Troy Arnett and Bro. Brian Rafferty officiating

Burial: Union Cemetery in Larue County

Visitation: Monday, July 15, 2024 from 4:00pm-8:00pmCT and Tuesday after 7:00amCT at the funeral home
