Essie Mae Slinker Clark, 93, of Campbellsville, KY (formerly of Green County), passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab. She was born February 8, 1931 in the Pierce Community of Green County to the late Joseph Spencer and Grace (Thompson) Thompson.
Essie was a member of the Trammell Creek Baptist Church, a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, a restaurant worker and caregiver. She enjoyed music and going to Renfro Valley.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Clark and her sisters and brother: Janice Pedigo, Nona Houk, Geraldine Meadows, Joseph Thompson, Kathryn Thompson, Nellie Thompson, Madelyn Thompson and Oleeda Bolton.
SURVIVORS:
2 sons: Ronnie Slinker and Rex Slinker of Louisville
2 sisters: Nina Larimore Lobb and Yvonne Coffey
A host of other relatives & friends
The family chose cremation with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
