Dennis Bays, 69, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Marshall Grant Bays and Margaret Herron Bays, was born on January 12, 1955 in Taylor County, KY. He died at 11:39 P.M. on Thursday, June 20, 2024 in Campbellsville. 

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith. Dennis was a retired employee of Taylor County RECC. He was a loving father to his children and enjoyed being involved in their sports. Dennis would work hard to keep the Trace Creek fields looking their best, enjoyed coaching the softball “Dream Team”, all while never missing any of his children’s games.

1 son: Grant Bays & wife Abbie of Campbellsville

2 daughters: Megan Bell & husband Clay of Campbellsville and Amanda Ellington & husband Johnnie of Berea

7 grandchildren: Payton Reynolds, Wesley Reynolds, Kyler Wilson, Izzy Anderson, Ri Anderson, Johnny Ellington, and Christopher Ellington

Dennis was also preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Dale.
