Betty Jo Kearney, 77, daughter of the late Kenneth Pyles and Eula Grant Pyles, was born on February 16, 1947 in Adair County, KY. She died at 3:17 P.M., Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at UK Hospital in Lexington, KY after complications from a stroke.
She was baptized and professed faith in Jesus Christ. Betty had been a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church for several decades. She loved her life and family. She was kind, compassionate and fun to be around. In her earlier years, she loved to work and meet new people. Her first job was at the Jim Dandy Restaurant in Columbia, KY at the young age of 14. She spent many years working at Fruit of the Loom and made lasting friendships there. Betty also worked at Cox Interior and the Campbellsville Baptist Church Child Development Center. She loved to reminisce about her working days and the fun times that she had with her friends.

Her husband of 58 years: William Larry Kearney of Campbellsville
2 daughters: Kim Scalf & husband Wade of Springfield and Teresa Barnett & husband Kenny of Lebanon
3 grandchildren: Nicholas Barnett, Parker Barnett and Haley Scalf
2 brother & 3 sisters: Jeffrey Pyles, Barbara Flatt, Rita Smith and Patty Wong

Many other relatives & friends
Betty was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters: Lyndall Pyles, Terry Pyles, Bernadine Drake, Katie Pyles and Cindy Rowe.
