Mary Virginia Money, 95, daughter of the late George William “Bill” Grooms and Nanna T. Thompson Grooms, was born on April 1, 1929 in Taylor County, KY. She died at 3:58pmET on Monday, May 6, 2024 in Lexington. 

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. Mary Virginia was a retired employee of Citizens Bank in Campbellsville. She united in marriage to Morris Ward Money June 18, 1949 and he preceded her in death May 27, 2005.

1 daughter: Taryn Beth Money of Lexington

2 grandsons: Derek Ward Dishong of Sarasota, Florida and Kyle Travis Dishong & wife Julia of Venice, Florida

2 great-grandchildren: Ella Dishong and Hudson Dishong

Mary Virginia was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: George W. “Billy” Grooms, Jr., Barbara Underwood and Shirley Davis.
