Paul Porter, 66, of Campbellsville, KY formerly of Larue County, KY, the son of the late Alfred Edward Porter and Goldie Barnes Porter, was born on February 26, 1958 and departed this life on Monday, March 11, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. 

Paul was of the Baptist Faith and was employed as a mechanic. He enjoyed racing, traveling to the Smokey Mountains, loved bears, being at the lake, and his dog Sugar.

His oving wife: Carolyn Newton Porter of Campbellsville

3 sons: Paul “PJ” Porter, Jr. of Campbellsville, Ronald Porter of Mt. Washington, and Donnie Porter of Columbia

5 grandchildren: Chelsie Rainwater (Daniel), Trey Porter and companion Abbi Smothers, Jacob Porter, Clayton Porter, and Jaylynn Porter

1 great-grandson: Ryder

1 sister: Phyllis Ward of Elizabethtown 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters: Ronnie Porter, Cathy Porter, Lois Johnson, and Linda Hornback.

Funeral Service: Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 1:00pmET at L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with Bro. Freddy Thompson officiating

Burial: Jones Chapel Cemetery
 

Visitation: After 11:00amET on Thursday at the funeral home
