James Lewis Alford, 80, Campbellsville, KY


James Lewis Alford, 80, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Charles Raymond Alford, was born June 10, 1943 in Louisville, KY and departed this life on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the University of Louisville Jewish Hospital.


James professed faith in Christ and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was a retired Police Officer for the City of Campbellsville and spent several years as a School Resource Officer. James was also a retired gunsmith and a former employee of Campbellsville Industries where he worked setting church steeples. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

 

SURVIVORS:

2 children: Kristin Bolin & husband James and James Alford, Jr., both of Campbellsville
2 grandchildren: Mary Catherine Bolin and Cheyenne Autumn Bolin

1 great–granddaughter: Cordelia Reese Bolin

Sister-in-law: Nancy Alford of Texas,

Niece: Stacia Boggs & husband Mike of Texas

 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Kettles Alford; a brother, Charles Lee Alford; and a nephew, Matthew Alford.

 

The family chose cremation and a memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
