James Everett McCubbin, 87, of Summersville, KY, son of the late Claude Elliott McCubbin and Lura Mae Goff McCubbin, was born on February 29, 1936 in Green County and departed this life on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
James had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church, and was a retired farmer.

His wife of 68 years: Donna Jean Warren McCubbin of Summersville
2 daughters & a son-in-law: Patty & Larry Payne of Nashville, TN and Paula Blakeman of Virginia.
1 son & daughter-in-law: Donnie & Kathy McCubbin of Elizabethtown
3 grandchildren: David Blakeman, Whitney Dula, and Amanda Shawley
5 great-grandchildren: Harper, Deakon, Andi, Everett, and Eddie
