Dorothy H. Wright Dewitt, 88, of Greensburg, KY, the daughter of the late Roy Bell and Mae Bennett Bell, was born October 23, 1935 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Green Hill Manor in Greensburg.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom. She enjoyed watching television, gardening, working in the yard, and playing with her dogs.

SURVIVORS:

4 children: Donna Bishop of Greensburg, Paul Wright  (Linda) of Hodgenville, Nathan Dewitt (Nancy), and Norman Dewitt & companion Melinda Cox all of Campbellsville.

4 grandchildren: Rebecca Bennett, Bob Bishop, Misty Wright, and Scott (Kim) Wright

6 great-grandchildren: Blake Chaudoin, Katie Chaudoin, Allen Murphy, Faith Wright, Caroline Wright, and Tyler Wright

1 sister: Jane Underwood of Campbellsville

A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Dewitt; one brother & sister-in-law: Roy & Carolene Bell; and a brother-in-law, Chandler Underwood.

Funeral Service: Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 1:00pmET in the chapel of L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Whitlock and Bro. Jimmy York officiating 

Burial: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation: Sunday, January 21, 2024 after 10:00amET
