Walter Duane “Lightening” Followell, 76, of Campbellsville, KY, a son of the late Dewey Hamilton Followell and Nellie Gladys Paris Followell, was born August 3, 1947 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Taylor Regional Hospital.

Duane worked at Parker Kalon for many years. He enjoyed farming and tractors. Duane also loved watching rodeos. He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

Brothers & sisters-in-law: Wayne Coomer & wife Jane and Sharon Buckman & husband Joe of Campbellsville; and Mary Burton & husband Dwight of Columbia

4 nephews: Michael & wife Lisa, Chris Buckman, and Joey Buckman & wife Nicole all of Campbellsville; and Connor Burton of Columbia
