Steve McAllister, 82, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late William Robert and Annie (Richards) McAllister, was born January 17, 1941 in Columbia, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 in Louisville at Jewish Hospital. 

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church where he served at a deacon for many years and was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army. Steve owned and operated Wishy Washy laundromat on Main Street in Campbellsville and was a washer and dryer repairman. He enjoyed playing and singing gospel music, playing golf, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his grand and great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Wayne McAllister; a grandson, J.T. Holmes; eight brothers and sisters: Garnett, Ed, Charles, Robert McAllister, Lorene Dohoney, Elaine Hagood, Evelyn Ann ‘Sissy” Nickens and one infant.

3 grandchildren: Trista Wood & husband Cory, Aaron Schwoebel & wife Sarah, and Mariah Holmes

4 great-grandchildren: Kyndall Wood, Rhilynn Wood, Kamryn Schwoebel and Brantlee Wood

Funeral Service: Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Bro. John Nguyen and Bro. Jim Durham officiating

Burial: Brookside Cemetery

Visitation: After 12 Noon on Sunday until time for the service
