Thomas Lee Williams (Tommy), 80, Kingsport, TN (formerly of Campbellsville, KY)

Thomas Lee Williams (Tommy), 80, of Kingsport, TN, formerly of Campbellsville, KY passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 following a period of declining health. He was born in Louisville, KY on January 6, 1943, a son of the late Jessie Isabel Young Williams Hash Wood and Percy Thomas Wiliams.

Tommy was raised in Campbellsville, KY and married his wife Nancy Peters Williams in December 1962. They relocated to Great Falls, Montana where Tommy served at Malmstrom Air Force Base. There, he was called into the ministry, so they returned to Campbellsville, KY where he later graduated from Campbellsville College.

In the years following his ordination, he served as pastor of Raikes Hill Baptist Mission, Bradfordsville Baptist Church, and Turner Ridge Baptist Church, all in KY. He later pastored Fort Robinson Baptist Church here in Kingsport. After retiring from pastoring, Tommy worked at Lifeway Christian Store in Johnson City. He and Nancy are current members of First Baptist Church in Church Hill.

Tommy dedicated his life to the Lord and his family. He was always looking for a joke, a laugh or sneaking sweets behind Nancy’s back.
