Margaret Lois Pendleton Colvin, 81, Green County, KY

 

Margaret Lois Pendleton Colvin, 81, was born August 16, 1942 in Taylor County, KY to the late Paul Pendleton and Essie Wilson Pendleton. She departed this life on Friday, December 8, 2023 at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY.

 

She was a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Greensburg. She was a homemaker, was employed at H.E. Shively Jewelers, and worked in the attorney’s office with her husband, Bill Colvin, who preceded her in death on April 27, 2019. She also served on the Green County Public Library Board and volunteered with the Girl Scouts.

 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Steven Trent Colvin on January 22, 2014 and one sister, Mildred Jean Blakeman.

 

SURVIVORS:

1 daughter & son-in-law: Connie & Stan Shuffett of Greensburg

3 grandchildren: Kiley Shuffett Bennett & husband Daniel of Lexington, Alex Colvin & wife Kenzie of Greensburg, and Landon Shuffett & wife Kaitlyn of St. Peters, Missouri

4 great-grandchildren: Fischer, Oliver and Maddie Colvin of Greensburg and Micah Bennett of Lexington

Special friends: Peggy Patterson, Charm Barnes and Vicky Jewell

Special sister: Corinne Rogers

Funeral Service: Monday, December 11, 2023 at 10:00amCT at Foster Toler Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating

 

Burial: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens

 

Visitation: Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 5:00pm-8:00pmCT and Monday after 7:00amCT

 

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to St Jude for Children, The Food Pantry or Hosparus of Green River. These can be made at the funeral home.
