Martha Jean Karnes, 73, of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late Edward Lee Hardesty and Virginia Mae Bohannon Hardesty, was born May 1, 1950, in Louisville, KY, and departed this life on Thursday, November 4, 2023, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Martha was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.
She united in marriage to James Alfred Karnes who precedes her in death.

2 daughters: Margaret Chastain and DeAnna Karnes of Campbellsville

7 sisters & 2 brothers: Joyce Hinckey, Bonnie Metcalf, Betty Davis, James Hardesty, Angie Reimann, Jeanette Esparza, Donna Gorden, Phil Hardesty, and Jackie Reimann
Funeral Service: Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 1:00pmET in the chapel of L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville, KY
Visitation: Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 11:00am-1:00pmET at L.R. Petty Funeral Home
Burial: Aongside her husband in the Lebanon National Cemetery
