Michael Gene Marcum, 78, of Campbellsville, KY, a son of the late William Marrell Marcum and Martha Elizabeth Burba Marcum, was born August 31, 1945 in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 6:15 P.M., Thursday, November 2, 2023 in Campbellsville.

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Michael served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a retired rural route letter carrier. He was a loving husband and father and was always generous to the kids on his mail route or anyone in need. He was an avid outdoors man who loved to deer hunt and Redbone Coonhounds.

He united in marriage to Annette Hoosier on September 7, 1965.

1 great-grandson: Fletcher Green & 2 expected great-grandchildren

4 brothers & 1 sister: Tommy Marcum & wife Shirley of Greensburg, Hack Marcum & wife Sylvia, Harold Marcum, Larry Marcum & wife Darlene, and Sheila Morgeson & husband Lanny of Campbellsville

Michael was also preceded in death by a brother in infancy, William Robert Marcum.
