OBITS

Paul Shively, 80, Campbellsville, KY

Paul Shively, 80, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Robert Shively and Nannie Harden Shively, was born March 24, 1943 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 5:54 A.M., Saturday, October 21, 2023 in Campbellsville.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. Paul Shively was a friend to many and a stranger to no one. If you were fortunate enough to know him, you knew that he loved his family and had an unwavering faith in Jesus. A natural hard worker, Paul retired from Parker-Kalon but also owned and operated a logging and sawmill business. Even in retirement, he was often asked to “walk timber” and mark trees for people. Paul also enjoyed taking care of his farm where he raised livestock, tobacco, corn, beans, and hay.

Paul united in marriage to Sherry Wise August 28, 1971.
