Doris Jean Newton, 91, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Malvin Benningfield and Willard Drury Benningfield, was born June 15, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 5:25amET on Thursday, October 12, 2023 in Campbellsville.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church. Doris enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

SURVIVORS:

2 sons & 2 daughters: Mike Newton & wife Linda, Johnny Newton & wife Vickie, Rhonda Watson & husband Carl, and Julie Bruce & husband Pat all of Campbellsville

10 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren

1 sister: Janice Thompson of Elkhorn

Sister-in-law: Lillie Benningfield Sherrill of Campbellsville

Doris was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: Lyndon Benningfield, Don Benningfield, Monte Ray Benningfield, Berlin Benningfield and Shirley Ann Thompson.
