William Garrett “Johnny” Amburgey, 77, of Shepherdsville, KY, formerly of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Balford Amburgey and Virginia Ritchie Amburgey, was born June 15, 1946 in Knott County, KY and departed this life on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Baptist Health in Louisville, KY.

He had been employed as a coal miner and in his free time he loved to hunt and fish. He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith.

2 sons: James Everett Amburgey (& wife Ashley) and Johnny Wayne Amburgey, both of Shepherdsville, KY

1 grandson: Donovan Everett Amburgey

Funeral Service: Friday, October 6, 2023 at 1:00pmET at L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel, 1765 New Columbia Road in Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Robby Everidge officiating

Burial: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens

Visitation: Friday, October 6, 2023 from 11:00am-1:00pmET at the funeral home
