Bettie Ethel Hoots Shoopman, 86, of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Hershel Hoots and Irena Sewell Hoots, was born January 31, 1937 in Cumberland County, KY and passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 in Danville, KY.
Bettie had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Jesus Name Church in Campbellsville. She was retired from Edmonton Manufacturing Co. after 30 plus years of service.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jessie Riley Shoopman on January 24, 2017, having united in marriage on July 1, 1961 and by a brother, James Hoots.

Grandchildren: Marketta, Shawn Anna and Jeremiah Shoopman all of Florida and Ashley Shoopman of Nicholasville
4 great-grandchildren: Krystabella Anna, Kahlan Anna, Emily Anna (& Daniel due in December), all of Florida
1 brother: Billy Hoots of Louisville
1 sister: Judy Hoots Roberts of Shelbyville

Burial & Graveside Service: Wednesday at 2:00pmCT at the Burkesville Cemetery in Cumberland County
Visitation: Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 4:00pm-7:00pmCT and Wednesday after 7:00amCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home
