Betty Jean Acree, 73, of Campbellsville, KY passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on May 14, 1950, a daughter of the late Columbus Gordon and Imogene (Wright) Boils.
Mrs. Acree was water baptized in Jesus’ name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of 16, and daily carried that joy with her for the remainder of her earthly time. Mrs. Acree had retired from the Taylor County School District as the cafeteria manager of Taylor County High School. She was also a former employee of Fruit of the Loom. Full of spiritual wisdom, she gladly and regularly passed Godly knowledge to all she came in contact with.
SURVIVORS:
2 children: Tim Acree and wife Keshia of Bardstown, and Tracey Grady & husband Stephen of Campbellsville
6 grandchildren: Seth Acree, Hannah Acree, Micah Acree, Luke Acree, Kadyn Grady, and Bailor Grady,
9 siblings: Ralph and Dana Boils of Tennessee, Shirley & Tommy Lovins of Indiana, Rueal & Louise Boils, Donnie & Carolyn Boils, Frank & Kay Boils, David & Ellen Boils, Danny & Lori Boils, and Gillis & Barbara Boils all of Campbellsville, and Shelia Youmans of Georgia
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives & friends
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Wayne Acree; a brother, Charlie Wayne Boils; and a brother-in-law, Charles Youmans.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00amET (10:00amCT) in the sanctuary of the Truth Tabernacle Church, 4607 Old Lebanon Rd, Campbellsville, KY
INTERMENT: Jesus Name Church Cemetery, Tabernacle Rd, Campbellsville
VISITATION: FRIDAY from 5:00-8:00pmET (4:00-7:00pmCT), and on Saturday after 9:00amET
