James R. Tucker, 88, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Roy Lee Tucker and Sarah Miller Tucker, was born March 19, 1935 in Washington County, KY. He died at 5:57pmET on Friday, September 1, 2023 at home surrounded by family.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He served his country honorably and retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. He also worked several years at the Taylor County Board of Education in the maintenance department after his years of service in the Air Force.

His wife of 66 years: Margaret Fay Sallee Tucker of Campbellsville

3 sons & 1 daughter: Mark Tucker & wife Sandra of Campbellsville, Therese Ferrell & husband Timothy of Fairborn, Ohio, Patrick Tucker of Richmond, and Titus Tucker & wife Sherry of Louisville

4 grandchildren: Matthew Mowery, Melissa Walder & husband Christopher, Jon Tucker, and Logan Tucker & wife Mollie

4 great-grandchildren: Christopher Walder, Brooklyn Walder, Braylee Walder, and Margaret “Margot” Tucker

2 sisters: Margaret Mudd of Campbellsville and Mary Jo Sutton of St. Charles, Missouri

Many other relatives & friends

James was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Robert “Bob” Tucker, Tommy “Tink” Tucker, William “Bill” Tucker, and Sue Buck.
