He was employed as an associate with Amazon.com in Campbellsville and also employed at Tractor Supply, Sales Associate. Cody liked hunting, fishing, woodworking and spending quality time with his beloved Maddie and Archie, and his dogs that gave him much joy

Cody was also preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Kenneth Smith and his step-father, Ed Cheatham.
