Charlie E. Wright, Jr., 78, of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2023. He was born in Campbellsville, KY to the late Charlie E. Wright, Sr. and Julia Montrey Marcum.

Charlie went into the Army directly out of Taylor County High School. He served in the 101st Airborne as a paratrooper and medic. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railway. His hobbies were all around his love of Hot Rods, hence his nickname, Hot Rod Charlie.

His wife of 57 years: Virginia Petot Wright

1 daughter: Melissa W. Newton (Bryan).  

1 granddaughter: Samantha Harris

1 sister: Peggy Sue Cox (Allen)

1 brother: Kenneth Lee Wright
