Mary Aileen Colvin, 94, of Campbellsville, KY, a daughter of the late W.D. “Bill” Melton and Hattie Colvin Melton, was born December 5, 1928 in Taylor County, KY. She died at 9:40 A.M., Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in Campbellsville.

Mrs. Colvin professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mary Aileen enjoyed working in her flowers and cooking for her family. She also loved children and had babysat for many children in her home.

She united in marriage to Kenneth Colvin on June 20, 1943 and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2016.

2 daughters: Joyce Colvin and Paula Hunt of Campbellsville

6 grandchildren: Michelle Milby and Kenneth Allen Colvin of Summersville, David Michael Colvin of Shepherdsville, Angela Butler and Sheila Taylor of Columbia and Travis Hunt of Campbellsville

8 great-grandchildren: Michael Aaron Colvin, Meredith Ann Colvin, Addison Grace Colvin, Scarlet Elizabeth Colvin, Casey Renee Colvin, Dustin Lee Milby, Joshua Darin Taylor and Kyle Butler

1 sister-in-law: Lois Melton of Campbellsville

Mary Aileen was also preceded in death by a son, David “Sonny” Colvin; a son-in-law, Terry Hunt and one brother and two sisters: Charles Melton, Gladys Colvin and Marie Rafferty Carroll.
