Bobby Chewning, 87, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Griffin and Cecil Todd Chewning, was born August 21, 1935 in Taylor County, KY. He died at 1:58 A.M., Saturday, June 17, 2023 in Campbellsville.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Palestine Baptist Church. Bobby was employed at Fruit of the Loom as a maintenance technician. Bobby could fix anything and would take things apart just to see if he could put them back together again. He was very independent and wanted to do things himself with no help needed.

His wife, Peggy Chewning of Campbellsville

1 son & 2 daughters: Terry Chewning & wife Kathy, Melissa Gordon, Tanya Franklin & husband Scott all of Campbellsville

6 grandchildren: Jacob Chewning & wife Jess, Jordan Chewning & wife Stephanie, Tiffany Tedder & husband Austin all of Campbellsville; Trey Gordon of Nashville, Tennessee, Haley Goodwin & husband Cody and Tyler Franklin all of Bowling Green KY

8 great-grandchildren: Bentley Chewning, Graham Chewning, Myles Chewning, Nash Chewning, Briggs Chewning, Karlie Tedder, Kaeson Tedder and  Krue Tedder

1 sister: Mary Jean Jeffries of Campbellsville

Bobby was also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters: William Chewning, Genneive Tarter, Pauline Kerr, and Alma Philpott.
