Elizabeth “Betty” Bennett, 94, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Claude Shepherd and Carrie Garman Shepherd, was born February 9, 1929 in Roanoke County, Virginia. She died at 11:48 A.M., Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in Campbellsville.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Betty was a retired caregiver having worked at many different nursing and retirement homes.

She united in marriage to Edgar “Ed” Bennett August 9, 1948 and he preceded her in December, 1992.  

SURVIVORS:

3 daughters & 1 son: Jeanie Tincher & husband Benny of Owensboro, Judy Frazer & husband John of Campbellsville, Missy McKinley of Greensburg and Eddie Bennett & wife Andrea of Campbellsville

12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; & 6 great-great-grandchildren

2 sisters: Christine Trumbull of Salem, Virginia and Helen Willis of Springfield, Georgia

Many other relatives & friends

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce McNeely; two sons-in-law: Carl McNeely and John McKinley and two sisters: Claudine Kanode and Rachel Bowen.
