Phillip Garry Caven, 71, of the Pleasant Valley Community of Green County, son of Olyn Caven and the late Marilyn Graham Caven, was born on September 25, 1951 in Green County, KY. He departed this life on Friday, April 21, 2023.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Caven served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was an employee of the Green County Road Department, participated in the wood program for Green County, and was a tobacco farmer. Garry was an excellent checkers player, enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching westerns. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Garry will always be fondly remembered by his many family members and friends.

4 great-grandchildren: Camdon DeSpain, Avery DeSpain, Mason DeSpain and Cadience Newby
3 special great-grandchildren: Saylor, Anniston and Laikynn
His twin brother: Roger Larry Caven of Summersville

Funeral Service: Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 1:00pmCT at Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home with Bro. Johnathon Willis, Bro. Cole Caven and Bro. Greg Whitlow officiating
Burial: Bennett Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Marion County Veteran Honor Guard
Visitation: Tuesday from 3:00pm-8:00pmCT and Wednesday after 7:00amCT at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy are requested to be in the form of donations to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church or the Twisted Pink Organization for Breast Cancer Awareness, both of which can be made at the funeral home.
