Doris Jean Smith, 82, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Addison “Jimmie” Dicken and Carrie Edith Hendrickson Dicken, was born October 25, 1940 in Taylor County, KY. She died at 6:25 P.M., Wednesday, April 26, 2023 in Greensburg.

She professed her faith in Christ and was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Doris Jean was a retired employee of Taylor County High School where she served in the lunchroom for many years. She was as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Doris Jean united in marriage to Glenn Smith October 26, 1963.

Her husband: Glenn Smith of Campbellsville

2 sons: Gary Smith & fiancé Robin Hamm of Liberty, KY and Walter Smith & wife Susan of Newburgh, Indiana

3 grandchildren: Courtney, Addison and Chandler

1 great-grandchild: Silas

Doris Jean was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: James Dicken, Pauline Brown and Linda Barnhill.
