Carol Jean Brown, 58, of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late William Fred Simpson, Jr. and Shelia Mae Gumm, was born September 11, 1964 in Campbellsville, KY and departed this life on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at her residence.

She was of the Catholic Faith, She was a Tool manager for Troy Construction. She enjoyed being outdoors, fussing at the kids, was OCD about cleaning and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

1 son: Brandon Brown & companion Makyta

4 grandchildren: Ryan Sears and companion Kailey, Josh Simpson, Jr., Jacob Simpson and Serenity Brown

2 great–grandchildren: Daxton Sears and Mihlaya Sears

Special nephew: Trent Waymon & companion Heather

Great niece & nephew Trinity & Blayne Waymon

Daughter-in-law: Kari Simpson

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray “Goat” Brown, two children: Joshua Doyle Simpson, Sr. and Tara Simpson Lamer, and a sister, Bridgette Denise Simpson.

Funeral Service: Friday, April 7, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel, 

1765 New Columbia Rd. Campbellsville

Visitation: After 11:00 A.M. on Friday at L.R. Petty Funeral Home
