Charles Edwin Ray Janes, 89, of Magnolia, KY, son of the late Thomas Janes and Frances Gray Janes, was born on June 11, 1933 in Nelson County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at his home.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, worked as a millwright in the construction industry, was a Korean War Veteran having served in the United States Army, was a member of the National Veteran’s Association, and a member of the Millwright Union.

3 daughters: Reva Yvonne Janes, Laura Carter of Summersville, and Barbara Arnold of Tennessee
1 son & daughter-in-law: Marvin & Hilda Janes of Summersville
8 grandchildren: Glendon Wilkerson, Brandon McCoy, Tommy & Rachael McCoy, Sarah & Antwone Dixon, Marcia Carter, Andrew Brickner, Derek & Stephanie Janes, and Dakota Janes

1 brother & sister-in-law: Joe & Jean Janes

Mr. Janes was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Harold Carter; a grandchild, J.C. Arnold; and two brothers and two sisters: Billy Janes, Franklin Janes, Jewell Snellen, and Sarah Wolfe.

Burial: Lebanon National Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veteran’s Honor Guard
Visitation: After 9:00amCT on Wednesday at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home
