Martha L. (Rakes) McFarland, 68, of Liberty, KY passed from this life on Friday, March 31, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Marion County, KY on September 15, 1954 to the late Dennis and Nellie (Garrett) Rakes.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a wife, mother, and grandmother, and was known as an encouragement to her family.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, Jeffrey McFarland; two sons: James Mason, Sr. and Jimmy Mason; and seven siblings: Carolyn Roller, Linda Hicks, Richard Rakes, George Rakes, Gene Rakes, Randy Rakes, and Helena Rafferty.

SURVIVORS:

6 grandchildren: James Mason, Jr., & wife Kimberly, Levi Mason, Landon Crews & companion Kassidy, Dalton Robertson, Autumn Wooley & companion Bryson, and Gabby Riggs & husband Clayton

Funeral Service: Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY with President Kevin Foley officiating 

Burial: Beside her husband in the Whited Cemetery in Casey County

Visitation: Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 11:00 AM until time for the service
