Carl Ford, Sr., 87, Knifley, KY

 

Carl Ford, Sr., 87, of Knifley, KY, son of the late Rue Ford and Bertha May Callahan Ford was born July 11, 1935 in Merrimac, KY and departed this life on Friday, February 17, 2023 at his home in Knifley.

 

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. Carl was a welder and fabricator for many years. He owned Ford Custom Welding for over 35 years. Carl enjoyed working on Model A cars, woodworking, and landscaping. He was a member of the Model A and Hudson clubs and of the Moose Lodge.

 
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 10 brothers & sisters: Ruby McDonald, Rue Ford, Ray Ford, Daniel Ford, “Zip” Reese, Ena Hicks, Ina Humphress, Marsa Cox, Wilma Combs, and Anita Elmore.
 
SURVIVORS:
His wife of 31 years: Carolyn Ann Ford
3 children: Cary Hendricks & husband Bill of Knifley; Carla Satterfield & husband Chuck and Carl Ford Jr. & wife Kim of Louisville 
2 step-children: Kenetha Douglas of Louisville and Zenda Stephenson of North Vernon, IN
10 grandchildren: Heather Allen of Louisville; Scott Underwood & wife Kristin of Mt. Washington; Camille Davis of North Vernon, IN; Kassie Hermann & husband Chris of Bullitt County; Kelly Underwood of Louisville; Tabitha Rutherford & husband Tyler of Bullitt County; Hunter Ford; Trevor Ford; Savannah Ford; and Lilly Ford all of Louisville

2 brothers: Eric Ford & wife Jennifer and Gary Ford & wife Pauline of Campbellsville, KY

FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 2:00pmET at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville
 
BURIAL: Jones Chapel Cemetery
 
VISITATION: Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 3:00pm-8:00pmET at Auberry Funeral Home 
 
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for expressions of sympathy be taken in the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River and can be made at the funeral home.
