Louella Ronald Chaney, 95, Greensburg, KY

 

Louella (Mitchell) Ronald Chaney, 95, was born June 30, 1927 in Green County, KY to the late Richard and Talmadge Sherrill Mitchell. She departed this life Sunday, February 12, 2023 at her home.

 

Louella had made a profession of faith in Christ and was the oldest member of the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Greensburg, KY, serving as Elder of the church. She was a member of the Green County Homemakers for 60 plus years, serving as County President for 2 terms, Club President for 8 years, and Lake Cumberland Area President.

 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Ronald in 1990; her second husband, Calvin Chaney in 2005; one brother, Shively Mitchell; and two sisters: Georgia Paxton and Hortense McMahan.

 

SURVIVORS:

2 daughters: Patricia Davenport & husband Michael D. of Louisville, KY and Jeannie Squires of Greensburg, KY

5 grandchildren: Ronald Dean Davenport & wife Julia of McKenney, Texas, Mitchell Wayne Squires & wife Jennifer of Greensburg, KY, DeAnna Vonnahme & husband Rich of Murray, KY, Lisa Stogner of Crestwood, KY, and Jene-Michelle McCubbins & husband Jamie of Summersville, KY

11 great grandchildren: Kate Scott & husband Cody, Payton Squires & wife Katelyn, Lilly Squires, Hunter McCubbins & wife Alise, Kayla McCubbins, Bryar McCubbins, Samantha Stogner, Hannah Stogner, Ashley Vonnahme, Allison Vonnahme & Ryan Stogner

3 great-great-grandchildren: Preston Klein Atwood, Pierce Kole Scott & Palmer Kate Scott

Funeral Service: Friday, February 17, 2023 at 2:00pmCT at Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Brenson Bishop, Bro. Kevin Brantley, & Bro. Freddie Norris officiating

 

Entombment: Greensburg Mausoleum

 

Visitation: After 10:00amCT on Friday, February 17, 2023 at the church

 

Pallbearers: Mitchell Wayne Squires, DeAnna Vonnahme, Lisa Stogner, Jene-Michelle McCubbins, Payton Squires, Hunter McCubbins

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to Kosair Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. These can be made at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg, who is in charge of the arrangements.
