Barbara Jo Curry, 81, of Greensburg, KY was born August 26, 1941 in Green County, KY to the late Oliver Franklin and Ortella Bishop. She departed this life at Green Hill Manor Nursing Home on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

Barbara had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital for 20 plus years and also a Lake Cumberland District Development Case Worker. Barbara was a member of the Greensburg Art Club.  

She united in marriage on July 21, 1962 to Bobby Gene Curry, who preceded her in death November 5, 2007.

1 daughter: Jewell Akin of Frankfort, KY

1 sister: Wanda Kerns of Campbellsville

Sister-in-law: Linda Mitchell of Campbellsville

2 brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Boyd & Jackie Curry and Dennis & Regina Curry of Greensburg

2 grandchildren: Niki & Derek McKibben and Andrew Akin

Celebration of Life: Sunday, February 19, 2023 at 4:00pmCT at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Freddy Thompson, Tyler Tucker, & Taylor Bishop officiating.

Burial: Greasy Creek Cemetery in the Exie Community of Green County.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Alzheimer’s Association and can be made at the funeral home.
