William Leon Jewell, 79, was born July 16, 1943 in Green County, KY to the late William Lee Jewell and Laura Lorene Edwards Jewell. He departed this life Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in Green County.

Leon had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Aetna Grove Baptist Church. He had worked 32 years at Kentucky Trailer in Louisville, KY.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Brown Jewell on October 2, 2009, having united in marriage on April 14, 1959; a sister, Carolyn Jewell Milby; and a grandson, Jacob Allen Jewell, who passed away June 6, 1989.

2 sons: Rev. Leslie Jewell & wife Vicky of Greensburg, KY, Matt Jewell & wife Lucretia of Glasgow, KY

1 daughter: Sherry Jewell Russell & husband Jake of Florida

4 grandchildren: Megan Lee & husband Brad, Misty Jewell, Christie Reeves, and Cara Grider & husband Jason

10 great grandchildren: Weston Lee, Liam Lee, Connor Bumpus, Blaze Bumpus, Azariah Jewell, Zachary Jewell, Joseph Matney, Gracie Matney, Leland Reeves, & Michael Cortie.
