Monica Gartin, 50, of Campbellsville, KY passed away Sunday morning, February 5, 2023 at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg. 

After graduating from Green County High School she went on to study nursing at Elizabethtown Community College where she earned her Nursing Degree. She worked as a RN at Jane Todd Hospital for more than 20 years working in many different departments during her time there.  Her nursing friends say that she was the best IV starter you have ever seen! No matter what, family was always first for Monica and she made sure everyone knew that. The love that she had for her son Latrelle was like no other.  She was the Best Big Sister to all of her siblings! One of her favorite things to do was go on family vacations to the beach. She loved and listened to all types of music like Country, Gospel, R&B as well as Trap music!!! Monica loved singing karaoke and dancing! Monica came to know Christ at an early age and was baptized at Second Baptist Church in Greensburg where she remained a faithful member until her passing.

1 brother: Billy “Bud” Gartin & wife Tiffany of Garner, North Carolina

Bonus siblings: LaTosha (Berry) Winston, Jesse (Portee) Thomas, and DeWayne Thomas

A host of nieces, nephews & great nephews

Several aunts, uncles & cousins

2 special cousins & a special friend: Marva Young Schrembs, Veronica Cleaves and Millie Hodges Milby

She was preceded in death by her sister, Brittany Turner, her paternal and maternal grandparents and four special uncles.

Funeral Service: Friday, Feb. 10, 2023 at 1:00pmET at the First Baptist Church of Campbellsville, 704 East Broadway, Campbellsville

Visitation: Thursday, Feb. 9th from 6;00pm-9:00pmET and Friday, Feb. 10th after 7:00amET at the church

Entombment: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, Campbellsville, KY
