Brenda Delores Matthews, 68, of Campbellsville, KY, formerly of Cave City, KY was born in Louisville, KY on June 18, 1954 to the late Billy Dewayne Francisco and Ruth Mae (Matthews) Francisco. She departed this life on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Taylor Regional Hospital.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Matthews was an employee with the Campbellsville Independent Schools through 2003, serving in the high school lunchroom. She enjoyed coloring, painting woodcrafts, and spending time with family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her Father-in-law & Mother-in-law: Kenneth & Ruth Matthews and a brother-in-law, Owen Turner.

Her husband of 49 years: Daryl Matthews of Campbellsville
1 daughter: Monica Bricken and husband Keith of Campbellsville
1 grandson: Logan Bricken
1 sister: Debbie Turner of Hodgenville
1 nephew & a niece: Brad Turner & wife Beth and Angie Morris & husband Mark
Brother-in-law: Ronnie Matthews

Brenda had requested cremation and her ashes will be interred at Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation: Saturday, January 21, 2023 at L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with cremation to follow
Memorial contributions are suggested to be donations to the Taylor County Animal Shelter.
