Rosie Nell Matney Meadows, 81, of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Lloyd Albert Matney and Faye Young Matney, was born on May 21, 1941 in the Exie/Mell Ridge area of Green County and the Lord called her home on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Maple Hill United Methodist Church. She was retired from factory work after 65 years. She was a machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc. and the former Campbellsville Apparel. Rosie was a happy person. She had a love for everyone, and also saw the good in everyone. She also loved to sing and go fishing. She will be greatly missed.

She united in marriage to Shelby Louis Meadows on March 11, 1959 who preceded her in death on February 2, 1981.

1 daughter & son-in-law: Donna & Bradley Mitchell of Greensburg

1 son: David Mitchell of Greensburg

5 grandchildren: Jamie Jeffries, Renae Meadows, Hallie Meadows, & Hayden Meadows all of Greensburg and Heaven Meadows of Adair County

1 great-grandchild: Aleeah Woodson

1 brother: Jerry Matney of Indiana

She was also preceded in death by a son, Daryl Timothy Meadows on August 30, 2021 and siblings: Eva Jewell, Juanita Rock, Junnie Matney, Dennis Matney, William Matney, Garland Matney, and Maxie Matney.

Funeral Service: Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11:00amCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home

Burial: Maple Hill Cemetery

Visitation: Sunday from 5:00pm-8:00pmCT and Monday after 7:00amCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home
